Dear Pine Hollow Guests:
Here we go again, we are open for the summer and the weather is trying to
cooperate! The lake is full and it looks like it will stay that way. Don't
hesitate to call us now to make your reservations we are filling up. In the
last few years we have become a popular spot for family reunions, so far
this year has been a record setting year for group bookings, Could it be
because of Sept. 11th? Are people putting their differences aside and
uniting, realizing how fragile life is? Whatever the reasons, we are glad
to accommodate.
How about those fish?! The lake has been stocked several times already this
year with even bigger fish then last year, so far the biggest that has been
caught was 12 lbs. and 32".
GROUP RESERVATIONS:
Our campground is especially nice and well equipped for large groups.
We have at least 3 different groups a year that celebrate their family
reunion here at Pine Hollow. One is The Straight Family Reunion, and
this will be their tenth year with us! e-mail
us to inquire about reserving your family reunion or just a fun
get-together.
HUMOR CORNER: THE BLONDE WINNER
A blonde goes to a restaurant,
buys a cup of coffee and sits down to drink it. She looks on the side
of her cup and finds a peal off prize. She pulls off the tab and
yells, "I WON! I WON! I WON a motor home, I WON a motor
home!" The waitress runs over and says, "That's impossible.
The biggest prize given away was a mini van!" The blonde
replies, "No, I won a motor home, I won a motor home!" By
this time the manager makes his way over to the table and says, "You
couldn't possibly have won a motor home because we didn't have that as a
prize!" Again the blonde says, "No, no mistake, I won a
motor home, I won a motor home!" The blonde hands the prize
ticket to the manager and he reads, "WIN A BAGEL."

CAMPFIRE RECIPES: Eggs in a nest. 1 piece of bread, 1 egg, salt and
pepper, chopped green onions, (optional) a shot glass, (or small glass)
First butter both sides of bread & place it in a frying pan. Then
take the shot glass & cut a small circle in center of bread, next crack
egg into the center of the bread and fry on both sides until egg is done
and bread is browned to your liking. Sprinkle onions & seasonings
of your choice on top & enjoy!

WASCO COUNTY FAIR – 2007
– August 18 & 19.
This year the Car Derby will be held August 18th at the Tygh Valley Fair!
2007 Sept 1, 2 & 3 – Labor Day Weekend.
Rendezvous Days in Wamic,
Come to Wamic, Oregon and help us celebrate
RENDEVOUS DAYS…
There will be
breakfast at the Barlow Gate Grange all three mornings,
Chili Cookoff later in the day on Saturday and a Dinner at
the American Legion Hall on Saturday Night.
Saturday will
be the parade starting with a Kids Parade to be followed by the Regular
Parade.
Sunday will be
a Walk/Run, and the Wamic School Reunion
Vendors & Yard Sales for
your shopping, along with the Quilt and Antique Show, Smock School and
Annex will be open for reminiscing. There will be a Blacksmith along with Mountain
Men.
